New festival Atlas Electronic launches in Marrakech.

Atlas Electronic Music & Arts is a brand new four day music and arts festival in a beautiful, exotic location just outside the bustling city of Marrakech, Morocco. Between September 1st t and 4th, art, visuals, local music and culture intersect with performances by James Holden & Maalem Houssam Guinia, DVS1, Roman Flügel, Optimo, Ryan Elliott, Funkineven, Acid Arab, secretsundaze and more.

Atlas Electronic is a collaboration between festival organizer Karim Mrabti and Triphouse Rotterdam. Out of their Rotterdam based office, preparations are made for the debut edition of Atlas Electronic. With partners Resident Advisor, secretsundaze, Red Light Radio, DJBroadcast, Cartel Amsterdam, Cosmo records, Triphouse Rotterdam, FMR Experience, and the local art and travel scene, Atlas Electronic promises to deliver an exciting crossover. Western leftfield electronic music meets Arabic influences, all served at the foot of the Atlas mountain range, just outside Marrakech.

Villa Janna

Festival location Villa Janna is heaven on earth. This eco-friendly complex has an amphitheatre where James Holden & Maalem Houssam Guinia will open the first edition of the festival on September 1st with an exclusive concert. The swimming pool, olive groves and other sites are part of the idyllic festival grounds. Atlas Electronic keeps it intimate in terms of the amount of visitors and aims to draw an interesting mix of international public and locals.

Marrakesh Morocco

Throughout history, Marrakech always had an enchanting and luring effect on the international art, music and fashion scene. As in the rest of the world, electronic music is also spreading in Morocco. The local scene is growing rapidly and international trends in music are being picked up by local frontrunners. More and more travellers are discovering the country as a holiday destination because of its lovely scenery, sunny climate and friendly prices. Atlas Electronic aims to stimulate the local electronic music scene by bringing it under the attention and in return have the visitors enjoy the great vibes and flavors Marrakech has to offer.
